DID YOU KNOW…

Mosquitos...

That standing water can harbor mosquitos? If there is standing water in your yard or pooling in items stored in your yard, please remove the water. When possible, upend the item to prevent standing water from accumulating in the future. Mosquito harborages are a health concern and also a violation of City Code.  This is pursuant to City Code, Section 6-63 Exterior Maintenance Standards (8) No structure, vehicle, receptacle, yard, lot, premises or part thereof shall be constructed, made, used, maintained or operated in any manner causing or producing any health or safety hazard or permitted to become a rat harborage or to become conducive to a rat harborage, nor shall it be permitted to become a mosquito harborage or to become conducive to a mosquito harborage.

Garage Sales...

A permit is required for a Garage Sale.  The Permitting Department, located at City Hall issues the Garage sale permit for a fee of $5.00.  Garage Sale signs may be displayed on the property where the sale is located and on a neighboring property, provided permission has been granted by the neighboring property owner. Garage sale signs may be displayed ONLY on the day (s) of the sale and must be removed when the sale ends. Garage sale signs are not permitted on the roadway.
